The UK has more developed low cost bus services at present than any other European country - see our resources on NX Funfare, easyBus and megabus, but there are a number of other budget bus services beginning to emerge across the continent, with unprecedentedly low intercity fares.

Operates a low fare shuttle between Frankfurt Hahn airport in Germany - the low cost airport served by Ryanair and Wizz Air, amongst others - and Luxembourg City.
Cheapest one-way fares available for just €5.

Ab 9 Euro
If anyone here doesn't speak German, that translates as "From 9 euros".
This innovative German bus service operates a north-south route down the western side of Germany from Hamburg Airport at the northern end to Heidelberg at the southern end.
On the way it stops at Hannover and Frankfurt am Main airports and also passes through Hamburg, Hittfeld, Hannover, Gottingen, Kassel Ost, Frankfurt am Main, Darmstadt and Mannheim.
While there are numerous routes available for just €9, it doesn't seem to be possible to get all the way from Hamburg Airport to Heidelberg for less than €19.
